Counselling for Adults

“Listen, are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?” - Mary Oliver

Counselling offers a person a compassionate, confidential and supportive space to explore concerns or difficulties they might be experiencing with someone who is professionally trained to help people gain a clearer sense of self and their problems, how they might cope with or overcome them, and encourage development of their own inner resources so they can go on to not just survive, but thrive in all areas of their life.

Counselling can help with a wide range of issues and what is spoken about will depend on the individual, but common themes are: anxiety/stress, low mood/depression, relationship difficulties, loss/bereavement, low self-esteem, anger issues, difficulties at work, and distressing/traumatic events.
